The Johanna Mestorf Award is biannually awarded for outstanding dissertations of all scientific fields dealing with an area of socio-environmental research and landscape archaeology of past societies. GS members and partners may submit their nominations by February 19, 2017.

The Graduate School’s International Open Workshop “Socio-Environmental Dynamics over the Last 12,000 Years: The Creation of Landscapes V” takes place from March 20-24, 2017 in Kiel. More than 270 papers have been submitted for the 19 sessions.
